This idea is great for many reasons, one it’s great for a night (like tonight) when you left the house early and forgot to get anything out for tea, two it’s great for a night when you are craving pizza but don’t want that junk food junk belly, and three it’s a great way to get the kids in the kitchen. Master 7 loves to make these mini pizzas, and I love it as it means I don’t have to do a whole lot, just the oven bit.
The wholemeal pita breads were frozen, the ham was frozen, you always have cheese in the fridge and the pasta sauce was opened from something I cooked a few days ago. It all defrosts in 5 minutes but can also be cooked frozen. Master 7 does this all by himself, pasta sauce on the pita breads, ham, then cheese then “mum can you put them in the oven”. They take 10 minutes, and they turn in to a healthy yummy super easy dinner the whole family will eat. For mine I add a few more veggies and go easy on the cheese, great way to make something out of nothing! Probably costs all of $8.
