So you may have read one of my older post’s Pumpkin Patch, where I explained the sex life of pumpkins. Just to re-cap, pumpkins are a fruit, what the hell, who knew right? Their plants have male and female flowers, the bees buz about in a guy flower, then buz about in a hot chick flower and magic, a pumpkin is created.
Well, I noticed nothing was happening to my female flowers they weren’t turning in to fruit they were just dying off. Then it occurred to me, I had never seen a bee anywhere near that side of the garden. So it was time to take nature into my own hands, I got a cotton bud poked it around in a male flower, then gave a female flower a good poke with the same cotton bud.
Well it worked, and below is my little IVF pumpkin. It is growing so fast it felt like each time I saw it, it had grown so I took this photo last week.
And took this photo today, it seriously has grown that much in a week, I hope it’s not because it was genetically modified!
