If there is one thing I have learnt both from the Army and from being a mother of three is to plan ahead! I am always trying to stay one step ahead in order to keep things running as smooth as possible otherwise I turn in to a stressed out mess! With Little Miss 4 now going to kindy it has required a little bit more planning on my part to keep things as organised as they were last year with just Master 7 going to school. Before it really didn’t matter what she wore, most of the time she got around dressed as Snow White that was easy, but now she has to dress properly and quickly. I had a spot for Master 7s school uniform to go, but now I needed two spots so I have come up with a solution.
Each night I put their clothes in the little baskets on the bench in the laundry all ready for the next day. In the morning after breakfast when it’s time to get dressed I take them their baskets. I don’t even have to speak they just know it’s time to get dressed! Oh and it gets better…….
Wait for it…. once dressed for the day the kids put their PJs in the baskets and return their baskets to the laundry (no more PJs laying around the lounge room). So when it comes time to get ready for bed their PJs are sitting there ready for them, and the laundry is on the way to the bathroom for wees and teeth! Who says you can’t train kids, who says two little white baskets can’t give you endless pleasure, best $3 I ever spent!

This idea is brilliant. I have been using it for 2 weeks and saves sooo much morning stress. I make my children 4 & 6 pack their own and they love it. Last weekend Miss 4 came out one morning in tears, she had nothing to wear 🙁
Her tray was empty! As it had been a weekend, she had forgotten to pack it the night before. After getting over the tears of laughter, I explained to her how she could fill the tray and then get dressed if necessary.

This is such a simple, yet super awesome idea!!! I’m totally going out tomorrow and buying 3 of those baskets, clearing some space on my laundry bench and starting this new routine. I love it, thanks!!!!
