You know it, Monday is Meal Planning Day. Or if you are getting the hang of this you would have done it on the weekend, done the shopping around your menu and already be making your first meal of the week. And you would have got a pedicure with the money you saved using a meal plan, right?
Remember all my meal ideas are 30 minutes from the fridge to the table, you have to give this a go!
Monday – Tuna Mornay. I love these Continental Family Favourites. This way we get to have Tuna Mornay with out all the butter and flour that would traditionally make the white sauce. I add peas, corn and serve with broccoli. 12 minutes.
Try to eat fish 2 – 3 times a week, great for little developing brains and great for a great butt!
Tuesday – Spaghetti Bolognaise. Can’t lose with this one, kids always love it. Cook mince and (wholemeal) spirals at the same time. Add grated veggies to mince. 20 minutes. Freeze left over mince for a meal next week.
Wednesday – Pumpkin Soup and wholemeal dinner rolls. Cook pumpkin, sweet potato, potato, lentils (secret ingredient protein they are tasteless and no one will know). All in one pot, cook, drain, puree. 20 minutes.
Thursday – Tuna Patties and salad. Can of tuna, mashed potato, peas ‘n’ corn. Cook potato, mash, add tuna and cooked peas’n’corn. Mould in to patties, cook in olive oil spay. 20 minutes.
Friday – Steak and veg. Man food! I get my cave man to cook it on the BBQ. Should take 12 minutes to cook a steak, flip 3 times.
Saturday – Going out for tea! Date night yip yip!
Sunday – Family dinner at Nannas!
So there you have it another Monday Meal Plan, all meals less than 30 mins from the fridge to the dinner table. Give it a go and let me know how you go (that wasn’t meant to rhyme!).
